Dental Specialty Group hosted a hands-on course for its referring dentists during its Spring Impressions event in 2008.
Purpose: To transfer information about one or more dental implants to a working laboratory model.
Implant level impressions
Closed tray impression
- For routine single tooth and short span bridge treatment, you will be able to use a closed tray approach.
Key points
- Radiograph if not sure impression coping fully seated.
- Place impression coping immediately upon removal of healing abutment to prevent tissue collapse.
- For multiple units, remove one healing abutment at a time and immediately place each impression coping.
- Replace healing abutments immediately upon removal of each impression coping.
Before the hands-on course for dentists, all the guests at the Spring Impressions event learned about what DSG is doing for their patients, referring dentists, and the Nashville area and globally.
